These figures include PE/Growth, Venture, Buyout/LBO, Corporate, Debt, Reverse Merger (SPAC), PIPE (Private Investment in Public Equity), and IPOs based on Pitchbook data. Investment in BMS & Battery Intelligence, Pack Manufacturing Technologies, New Battery Technologies as well as Anode Materials saw the most growth in 2022 as compared to last year. Cell Manufacturing had continued momentum and attracted the largest amount of capital in 2022. The figures do not include the massive LG Energy Solution IPO which raised ~$10B at $60B valuation in January 2022.
