Status of NEVI Awards for Charging Infra in the US Cumulative funding for National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure NEVI) projects reached more than $3B since FY22
Between July 2023 and July 2025, disbursement totaled more than $1 billion.
The rate of funding disbursement slowed from 2024 to 2025.
Most chargers still deployed CCS connectors, followed by J3400/NACS connectors.
Funding per port was roughly $136k and varies depending on the award recipient, with Tesla receiving and deploying a charger under $60k.
