From Cell-to-Module to Cell-to-Pack & Cell-to-Body In 2022, CATL released the Qilin battery using Cell to Pack Gen3 technology, which is the same platform used by the Xiaomi SU7 battery. The new design replaces separate crossbeams, liquid cooling plates, and thermal pads with a multi-functional sandwich structure incorporating an elastic interlayer. Another key feature is the use of built-in micro-bridges, which accommodate cell swelling and improve battery reliability throughout its operational lifetime.
