f. Density of states of MHESe compared with CoSe2. h.Calculated Al3+ adsorption and migration energetics in MHESe and CoSe2.

Consequently, MHESe delivers 155 mAh g−1 initially and retains 95 mAh g−1 after 10,000 cycles at 10 A g−1, demonstrating ultra-stable, high-rate aluminum-ion storage. Synthesis relies on a precise, high-energy ball milling process under high-purity argon and utilizes multiple heavy metal precursors, which may complicate large-scale manufacturing and environmental safety. Long-term cycling stability of MHESe at 10.0 A g−1.

High-entropy lattice engineering enables fast Al3+ transport and ultra-stable cycling under extreme charge density.
